Top 8: Must Haves
A few items I have, and want! Shoes, accessories, and Bags
Thong Sandals
These Thong Sandals
Lately I’ve been discovering my new aesthetic. As most of you know, I’ve turned over a new style, a more modest, more respectable one. So for the past 2 years I’ve been brainstorming, gathering inspiration, and narrowing down what type of approach I wanted to take.
The answer is— chic — hence these black leather sandals from en.stylenanda.com, one of my favorite Korean brands.
They run @ $32….. I know right, they look expensive!
My order totaled to $39 with shipping and tax fees. Get them here —> Thong Sandals
2. Tabi Sandals
I’ve been a fan of the Tabi boot since my college days at The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.
So it’s no surprise when I found these sandals, which consist of my favorite shoe style, the Mule, AND the Tabi toe, I had to cop!
I found these on sale at 60% off it’s original price. Don’t ask me how, Bc now they’re only 40%. I call it fate lol.
These are super chic and classic and can be worn for years! (I’m not into trendy designer)
I’ve yet to wear them Bc, quarantine, but as soon as I finish my collection, these babes will make their debut!

3. Versatile Style
I’ve been on the search to shop more “black” designers. I sent out a tweet about shoe companies and finding one owned by my people, alas, the tweet came!
These boots by Tejahn Burnett are versatile and super stylish. They’re eye catching, and classic, my favorite type of combo. And the Best part? They go from knee length to ankle.
I’ll be placing my order soon. But in the meantime, get them here —> Naomi Boot
4. Epifene
Found this super cute jewelry brand owned by a “black” woman! She specializes in gold pieces that have origin stories behind them.
These are my top 3 pieces on her site. I placed my ordered for the earring, bracelet, and necklace, and can’t wait to get them in the mail this Wednesday!

5. Tijn
As you can probably tell from this post, I love a good mule!
I found this brand, Tijn, about a month ago while on the search for a nice flat/kitten heel mule that is practical to walk around our land.
I love these Bc of the texture of the fabric and the choices. They come in 4 different vibrant colors and I am leaning towards this coral vibe.

6. Omni Woods
Another “black” owned jewelry brand owned by a woman. What’s special about this brand is that it offers its pieces in sterling silver, vermeil gold, and actual gold. I love the versatility!
I have yet to purchase but this is definitely on my list.

7. Lolly Lolly Ceramics
Throughout my adult life, I’ve never had a home that I owned. A home that I’d have to decorate entirely, only apartments or studios with roommates. So, now that I’ve officially entered adult life, (needing to decorate my own home), I’ve become obsessed with decor, especially by “black” women.
I came across this dope artist who specializes in ceramics. They’re funky, yet chic, and right up my alley!
Love the matted aesthetics as much as I love the fact that she uses black, A LOT.

8. Ekua Ceramics
Again, into home decor, lol. I found this brand at the same time I found Lolly Lolly.
It is also owned by a “black” woman, located in Long Beach California.
I love the chic and minimal aesthetic, and the colors, and will be making a purchase soon.
