Introuducing the youth to sewing fundamentals, creativity, and fashion history.
Discover the world of sewing, creativity, and self-expression at Raisa Studio’s 2-week Sewing Stories camp. Kids will learn how to use a sewing machine, hand sew, read patterns, and design their own mini collections. By the end of the program, each camper will have 3 completed projects and participate in a mini fashion showcase for friends and family.
Curriculum Overview:
Week 1: Foundations & Fun
• Day 1: Welcome, Safety, Intro to Sewing Machine
• Day 2: Hand Sewing 101 – Buttons, Basic Stitches, Embellishment
• Day 3: Make a Tote Bag
• Day 4: Printmaking & Textile Art (Customize Fabric)
• Day 5: Sew Reversible Bandanas
Week 2: Design & Showcase
• Day 6: Intro to Fashion Design – Sketching & Mood Boards
• Day 7: Garment Making Begins – Elastic Waist Skirt with Pockets
• Day 8: Continue Garment Construction
• Day 9: Fitting, Styling, and Finishing Touches
• Day 10: Fashion Show Day – Family + Friends Invited at 6:30 PM

Camp Dates: June 16-27 | Time: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Location: East End Lofts, 2115 Runnels St. Houston, TX 77003
Showcase: June 27 at 6:30 PM
Tuition: $295/week ($590 total)
Sibling Discount: $250 per child (2 or more siblings) USE CODE SIB25
Deposit: $295 due to reserve a spot (covers Week 1)
Full tuition due before each camp begins
