Collection Development: Women Who Farm

My next collection is heavily centered around my new lifestyle, and the women who are apart of it all around the world. Women who farm and live off the grid, like myself, have a certain style about us. Its practical but aesthetically pleasing and artistic at the same time.

In this collection I’m continuing my discovery of dyeing natural cellulose and protein fibers with foods, plants, and herbs. I’ve used everything from avocados to logwood, to get beautifully dyed garments, and I can’t wait to share the collection with you.

My design elements will consist of ruffles, a little negative space, some draping and lots of breathable, natural cellulose and animal fibers.
