Top 8: Fall 2023 Wish List

To stay on brand and true to my ever transitioning self, I’m revamping my entire wardrobe. Or maybe I’m starting a completely new one?! Whatever the case may be, these are the Top 8 trends, fabrics, colors, and styles, in my shopping cart!

First up, a classic:

  1. Suede

Images via Vogue.com/Collage by Raisa

Suede has been a reoccurring trend for Spring and Fall 2023. We saw Lazaro and Jack, of Proenza Schouler, send deep, rich colors of suede down the runway for Fall 2023. While 6 months prior, Maximilian coughed up monochromatic pant suits and matching bucket shaped Fanny packs, on the Spring 2023 runway.

The Ferragamo tan look, head to toe, cost a few months rent. I mean the Tan Suede Stretch Leggings retail at $2,800 alone. So as for me and my household…..I will be recreating this look with a contemporary price point.

To complete my Ferragamo inspired look, I went on a hunt for really good quality leggings and ended up on Revolve.

I found Suede Skinny Pants on sale for $324, with a matching Suede Shacket, also on sale, for $279. Now I can keep an extra coin and look cute, simultaneously.

Finishing up my monochromatic look, this Mini Bucket Bag I found, pictured below, is sooooo cute and is the perfect alternative to the price point of the Ferragamo option.

Now, I do believe in buying pants that can interchange with several shirts and jackets, so I found a few aesthetically different suede selections to switch up the vibe of my designer inspired look.

The girls are moving to Texas, hence this DoDo Bar OR jacket being the perfect piece to channel my inner cowgirl. And yes, I’m 100% ditching the bucket Fanny when throwing this fringe number on. Now I just need a horse…..Actually the horse may need to wait bc this jacket retails at $1,395.

However, if you’ve never shopped MyTheresa.com, they offer 10% off your first order when you spend $700 or more. Use code FIRST10US at checkout.

And if you’re not at a place in your transitional lifestyle where you’d invest in a fringe coat…I found some really nice alternatives for the girls!

Photo via FreePeople.com

This Vegan suede option from Free People is the perfect snag for the Missies that choose not to wear animal products. It retails at $128. They offer Klarna and free shipping.

Photo via NastyGal.com

Now, this 100% Suede Studded Fringe Jacket from Nasty Gal, is not only a head turner, she’s on sale!

From $588 to $176.40…how could you NOT??! And like Free People, Nasty Gal also offers Klarna, along with AfterPay, and PayPal.

2. Unique Denim

I’ve always loved denim so a placement on my top 8 comes as no surprise. In previous collections I’ve manipulated, dyed, distressed, and transformed the cotton material to create unusual designs.

This fall I want to get into Unique cuts, dyes, prints, and fits, like these MM6 Maison Margiela spliced jeans.

photo via Cettire

I enjoyed the exaggerated cuff on this particular pair after seeing the really kind, influential, and well dressed, Amanda Murray aka LondonGirlInNYC, one of my favorite style ppl to follow, wearing them. She paired them with a denim shirt, also from MM6.

They retail at $299.30, on sale from $415.69.

Zamar Lewis is a designer, entrepreneur, and interior designer who sells contemporary pieces on ZamarLewis.com

She created these beautiful 3 stacked Levi’s that were originally just for her. The now sold out jeans are on my wishlist, in hopes of a restock 👀.

If you aren’t savvy on the sewing machine and can’t make your own, Sandro offers a great pair of Two Tone Double Waist jeans that go for $295.

Now these Green Building Jeans by Maimoun, are right up my alley. I def have to have these. They’ll be perfect for layering.

They’re $642 and worth every penny!

3. Cargo Pants

In high school I LOVED cargos and pointy toe shoes. I guess I was ahead of my time.

Now that the trend has circled back around, I’m totally obsessed with it again.

Let’s get into a few pieces I’m eyeing for fall.

The Attico Cargo Pants Photo via MyTheresa.com

Gilda Ambrosio has an amazing eye for style, so I wasn’t surprised when she partnered with long time friend, Giorgia Tordini, to create the brand The Attico.

The girls created the Fern Long Cargo Pant currently the IT pants.

Not only are they over $1000, they’re sold out.

So I checked out a few of my favorite sites and found a similar pair on YesStyle.com

They come in a darker wash as well, for the girls that would like to go an “all black” route.

Photo via The Frankie Shop

Taking the Lisa Raye approach and only wearing white? The Frankie Shop has an amazing pair for a fraction of the cost of Attico’s pair.

And then we have a more sporty pair from Hudson, coming in at $495.

4. Penny Lane Coats

THE ICON- APPLETINI

TOKYO ICON- BLACK / collage by Raisa

Almost Famous is one of my favorite Cult Classic movies.

I mean sure, Penny gets her heart broken by her boyfriend—an up and coming musician that she’s on tour with—but at least she looked great.

The now famous, Mongolian fur coat she donned in throughout the movie, is rightfully named the Penny Lane Coat, and it’s in my fall wishlist.

This TOKYO ICON in CARAMEL coat from PennyLaneCoats.com is the number 1 item on my splurge list, and for obvious reasons.

She runs your pockets $790 and it’s worth every investment penny.

Photo via Vestiaire Collective

If you’re not fond of spending almost $800 on a coat, Vestiaire Collective will give you great alternatives.

Found this NON SIGNĒ/UNSIGNED version for under $350 bucks ! A score if you ask me.

5. Color

Photos from L to R: Pinterest, START by WGSN, Moda Operandi/ Collage by Raisa

Ages 15-22 I was no stranger to color. I’d wear a colorful striped hoodie, with green knee high flat boots, and denim gauchos to school. I wasn’t afraid to be bold, experiment, and have fun.

Over the years, I suppose as life got a bit more serious, I adopted the color black as my go to uniform.

Now don’t get me wrong, I still love an all black look and will never forsake her, but I’m in such an experimental phase, I think it’s time I bring some color back into my life.

Starting with this $379 Roxi Knit Tube dress from Hanifa.

Everything about this tube dress has my name all over it. I love how it can be worn as is, with a blazer for office attire, or with a crisp white t-shirt underneath to dress it down.

This Loewe Small Paseo bag has all the elements I’m looking for with my makeover: unique, colorful, and bold.

Photo via Moda Operandi

When it comes to nailing the cool office look, Victoria Beckham’s collections always come to mind. Her aesthetic consistently gives “I work at Vogue”, and I love it.

This Astro green Slash-Neck Ruched Jersey Midi Dress from her resort collection is sexy and bold.

Not into dropping $1,190? Opt for this $39 MICAS alternative instead.

6. Gold Statement Jewelry

Product via Etsy/collage by Raisa

I mentioned that I’m pretty much in my “put that sh*t on” era when it comes to jewelry, in my Top 8: Handmade & Reconstructed TikTok.

If you’ve been keeping up, statement jewelry as a staple in my wardrobe makeover should come as no surprise.

Photo via Etsy

I found these bold and affordable $40 Lion Heads earrings on Pinterest a few weeks ago, and have had them in the shopping bag vault since.

I’m not a Leo but I can 100% tap into my inner lioness with this hand molded clay sculptured pair.

Photo via Etsy

If you can’t tell by now, I love craftsmanship and handmade items, especially rings.

When I found this Gold Statement Ring, also on Etsy, I had to order it immediately. $11.40 is such a steal!

photo via Etsy

Who doesn’t love a gold chunky necklace? They can literally breathe life into the simplest white Tee/jeans combo.

This Extra Chunky Gold Chain Choker is the alternative to buying fast fashion, is on sale for $29.71, and I absolutely need it on my neck.

photo via Etsy

Embracing my inner Lioness is also the theme for Fall 2023, clearly.

I’m obsessed with the triple stack, dangling aspect of these handmade stunners!

They’re currently 20% at $48 and can be found here.

7. Amina Muaddi Pointy Toe Pumps

Photos via Pinterest/Collage by Raisa

I’ve been a long time fan of Amina Muaddi. From co-founding the brand Oscar Tiye, to footwear designer at Alexandre Vauthier, and now head designer at her namesakes brand.

I’ve also had a pair of the pointy toe boots on my list for a while, so now that I’m revamping everything, let’s get into a few I have my eye on for fall.

Photo via Vestiaire Collective

Now I know I said color was the theme for fall 2023, however, a neutral will always reign supreme over here.

The clear heel on this Camel Colored Over The Knee boot gives it the perfect trendy but classic juxtaposition.

They’re currently listed at $753.08 on Vestiaire Collective.

As you know Vestiaire is a marketplace, so I’d suggest you get there quick if you want to score these at this amazing price.

photo via Vestiaire Collective

I’m perpetually drawn to the color red, in all shades and hues.

When I saw these it was a no brainer to add to my wishlist. They’re priced at $1,206.92 on Vestiaire, but I’m on the hunt for lower price point…stay tuned bc I will find these half the price.

I enjoy most things iridescent, especially if I can get compliments while wearing them.

I know I’d turn heads in the super sexy Fiona 90mm pointed-toe boots.

Photo via Vestiaire Collective

And to round up my Amina wish list, I’m gonna need this Clear Wedged Pointy Toe Boot, in a size 37, to go with the suede leggings I found earlier.

With a price tag of $458.68, I’m probably gonna put these in my basket tonight.

8. Dresses w/ Rouching

photos from L to R: Micas, Moda Operandi, TGC/Collage by Raisa

I’m a super curvy woman, and I’m 5’1, so certain things can enhance my shape, or make me look frumpy.

Rouching is one of those elements that elevate my shape and make me feel very feminine, which is why it’s apart of my Fall 2023 wishlist and style revamp.

Up first is this Mugler SS19’ sheer dress

I love this dress for its versatility purposes. I’m a huge fan of jeans and layering long dresses on top, and that’s exactly what I plan to do with this chiffon midi dress.

Now, as an alternative, price point wise, I found this similar Self-Portrait number on sale from $340 to $170!

photo via Matches Fashion

Preen by Thornton Bregazzi has slowly become a favorite brand of mine. I discovered the body hugging dresses about a year ago and have had my eye on them since.

These two fit into both my colorful and rouching Category for my wardrobe revamp so it’s safe to say that I’ll be Investing in a piece.

Currently Lyst has a ton of options from the brand ranging from $1100-$2800

Photo via Pinterest

TGC is a super affordable brand that offers trendy and classic pieces at half the price.

I’m a fan of a short sleeved dress bc it gives a day to night feel; this Soft Twist Maxi Dress does the job.
